Anti Wrinkle Creams

How do Anti Wrinkle Creams work and what ingredients should you look for?  If you look around the web, you will run into many anti wrinkle creams that promise to reduce eye wrinkles.

The million dollar question is – do they work?  Well, that depends on which ones you come across.  The best wrinkle creams that actually perform their job – banish eye wrinkles, are formulated with ingredients unlike many other skin care products.  Sure, aloe vera and shea butter are good for moisture, but you need something with SCIENCE involved.  We like eye wrinkle creams that take the cosmeceutical route, the medicinal route to curing eye wrinkles.

If you are looking for a miracle, you probably won’t find it in an eye wrinkle cream.  If you are 80 years old and are covered with wrinkles, anti aging products of any nature won’t completely cover your wrinkles.

So, what ingredients should you look for in an anti wrinkle eye cream, you ask? The effectiveness of anti-wrinkle eye creams will rely on the active ingredient or ingredients. Here are some common ingredients that will help reduce wrinkles.

Matrixyl 3000. This is a SERIOUS anti wrinkle ingredient.  You are certain to find it in the best wrinkle creams on the market.  It’s a clinically tested ingredient that works like no other ingredient at fighting wrinkles.

Retinol. Retinol is a vitamin A compound and is the first antioxidant to be widely used in nonprescription wrinkle creams. Antioxidants are substances that neutralize free radicals — unstable oxygen molecules that break down skin cells and cause wrinkles. Retinol is less potent than the vitamin A derivative tretinoin, a topical treatment approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treating wrinkles. Tretinoin is available only by prescription. Avoid vitamin A derivatives if you are pregnant or may become pregnant because they increase the risk of birth defects.

Copper peptides. Copper is a trace element found in every cell. In products applied to the skin, it’s combined with small protein fragments called peptides. Copper peptides enhance wound healing. They also stimulate production of collagen and may enhance the action of antioxidants.

Whatever you do, don’t buy an anti wrinkle product until you’ve done your homework.  If things sound too good to be true, they probably are.  Do your homework, ask questions, and read as many wrinkle cream reviews as possible.  Eye wrinkles don’t go away overnight, and you should avoid using any product that makes that claim.  If you do believe them, hey, you may as well throw your money down the toilet, because a wrinkle, while it can be concealed and treated, will never go away forever.  Only the best formulated wrinkle products even make a dent in them, I’m living proof.
